ABOUT DARRELL BOECK
Trusted by agencies and national brands.
For more than three decades, I’ve been telling stories through the lens - from corporate boardrooms to African savannas, small-town fundraisers to national television. As the owner of Creative Images LLC and a freelance Director of Photography, I’ve built my career on a mix of technical skill, creative vision, and the ability to make people feel at ease in front of the camera.
I’ve worked with some of the most recognizable names in the world - Freightliner, John Deere, SC Johnson, Johnson Controls, U.S. Cellular - as well as dozens of non-profits whose videos have raised hundreds of millions of dollars for their causes. In broadcast, my work has aired on networks including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and PBS, where I produced, shot, and directed a documentary series that took me to Africa, Greece, and Italy in a single month.
I also enjoy helping younger crews and internal teams understand how professional video production actually works. Over the years, I’ve spoken at national video production seminars and have trained others in practical areas like interviews, lighting, audio, b-roll, and production planning. That teaching background now allows me to help organizations improve their own in-house video efforts.
I’m FAA licensed for commercial drone work, comfortable on shoots ranging from one-person crews to multi-camera productions, and equally at home working for marketing teams, agencies, corporations, or non-profits. Whether it’s capturing an intimate interview, covering a live event, or crafting cinematic b-roll, I approach every project with the same goal - to create visuals that connect with an audience and get results.
My right-hand on set is my long-time assistant and B-camera operator, who’s been with me since 2008 and holds a degree in film production. She’s also my lead editor, making sure our footage gets the polish it deserves. Together, we bring reliability, professionalism, and a great attitude to every shoot.
When you hire me, you’re not just getting someone to press record. You’re getting senior-level production judgment from someone who has spent decades working on real shoots, with real clients, real deadlines, and real consequences. I know how to keep a production moving, help people feel comfortable on camera, avoid common mistakes, and deliver footage that serves the final edit.
Ready to bring your story to life?
Whether you need a single interview or a full-scale production, I’ll bring the experience, gear, and creative vision to make your project a success. Let’s talk about how we can make it happen.
